Greetings from Dr, Donald A Johnson J.P. President Apostolic Church of Jamaica.
It is with great joy and Christian love that I extend to you greetings from the Apostolic Church of Jamaica and to congratulate you as you celebrate your one hundredth anniversary. This is a year to celebrate and give thanks to God for all that you have so generously accomplished over the past decades.
One hundred years ago a handful of visionaries had an idea that has grown to benefit so many. Today the Jamaican community is a part of an incredible movement and I want to extend my hearty congratulations to all those who pioneered the work. Our spiritual ancestors built, sustained, and grew the work with Christ-like dignity, determination and love. They planted seeds of faith through which God is blessing us today.
We thank God for those faithful Ministers on whose shoulders we stand for this joyous occasion. Their time, treasure and talent, coupled with the grace of God have fueled the torch that continues to shine on our path, as we advance the kingdom of light into the dark places within our reach. Today, with great joy, we celebrate this tremendous achievement with you.
As you celebrate this great milestone it is incumbent upon us to sing a new song of praise and thanksgiving to God, our Savior, for his enduring faithfulness to his church, in particular the Apostolic Family.
In 1 Samuel 7:12, Samuel takes a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen. He called this place Ebenezer, which signifies, “the Lord has helped us”. Like Samuel we have a cause to set up a memorial to remind us that God has made us victorious, and that this same Omnipotent God will always make us triumphant. Certainly God has helped you to achieve this milestone and for this we need to give him thanks.
Once again Congratulations.
